Embracing nature in an outdoor ceremony for Racquel and Theo’s Wedding

Planning their dream wedding

For Raquel and Theo, it was love at first sight, for not just each other but also our beautiful venue.  From that very first viewing with our owner Mick, they were set on booking their dream wedding with us!

‘Firstly, the staff were so genuine and helpful, then the venue, every room we stepped into we got excited. We could envision our wedding’.

Our outdoor ceremony area complete with the pagoda overlooking our iconic and striking Sycamore Tree immersed in nature was a dream come true for Racquel as a summer baby.

‘I’ve always envisioned my wedding outdoors in nature where I love to be’.

‘Nothing was ever too much to ask.’

Despite overcoming many hurdles and postponements due to the pandemic, luck was on Racquel and Theo’s side, so they were able to tie the knot facing the rolling hills and fields surrounding our stunning venue, the icing on the cake after waiting a little longer than planned for their perfect wedding day!

A perfect morning before ‘ I do’

The warming sun was beaming down on our grounds to mark the start of a truly perfect summer wedding just as the couple had envisioned and dreamed of after all these years!

When wedding dress shopping Racquel knew exactly what she was looking for, and chose her dream dress within one hour at Dorothy Rose Bridal Ellesmere Port for a simple yet timeless and elegant look, that she could easily dance her wedding night away in!

The bridesmaids’ dresses followed the same design yet styled differently so everybody felt comfortable with a style that suited to their every need!

Theo, on the other hand, chose the suits for himself and his groomsmen quickly from Slater Menswear after leaving it until the last minute, with the bowties arriving the day before the wedding!

After having a ball relaxing getting ready in our pamper room, with Georgia Despard on makeup and Keelie Gemma Bradshaw on hair, the bridal party were soon ready to proceed outside, for Racquel to walk down the aisle to meet her soon-to-be husband for the I do’s!

Tying the knot overlooking nature

At the end of the aisle, a beautiful arch frame adorned with green foliage with white flowers for the bouquets and as decoration was the symbolism of the timeless and elegant décor throughout the venue by Rodgers the Florists and  Sweet Brothers which was just breathtaking.

Award-winning Saxophonist Faye Donaldson played an incredible set of music throughout the ceremony adding an elegant accompaniment.

After officially tying the Knot, outdoor games and music all set up, it was time to kick off the drinks reception, with stunning photographs of the couple and all their guests by James Capper.

Wining, dining and speeches

The elegance and timeless décor followed the guests into the dining room, with beautiful white flowers surrounded by a wreath of green foliage and candles as the table centrepieces as well as the mini trees from the ceremony taking pride of place. Behind the all-important, top table, the neon sign spelling ‘Happily ever after’ really brought the room alive for a simple yet breathtaking set-up.

As the newly married Mr & Mrs Golaub, entered the room, the cheers and claps of their eager and excited guests echoed the room, where the love really could be felt all around!

A delicious meal filled Racquel, Theo and their guests with happiness and incredible food before the nerve-wracking yet all-important speeches commenced.

The Mother of the Groom, the Father of the Bride and the groom himself each delivered roaring speeches with guests shedding both laughter and tears all around!

Let the celebrations commence

After the cutting of the most beautifully elegant cake by Sue from For Goodness Cake, it was time for Racquel & Theo to take to the floor for their first dance as a married couple surrounded by all their loved ones! What an incredible moment! Then the evening reception kicked off with DJ Stretch on the decks as the celebrations continued into the night!

What an incredible wedding for Racquel & Theo and they thought so too!

‘Our guests were blown away! Many of them said it felt like they were on holiday, I had a few guests who suffer from anxiety, and they said the grounds made them feel so relaxed and in such a happy place. The fact that the guests get to experience each section of the day in a different part of the venue kept them excited’.

Their top tip for couples planning their wedding day is to:

‘Enjoy every single minute and book Heaton House Farm. You won’t regret it!!’
