We are thrilled to announce that we have been named finalists in the Hospitality, Leisure, and Tourism Award at the prestigious Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce Business Awards 2024. While we didn’t clinch the top spot, reaching this level is a tremendous honour, and we are incredibly proud of the recognition from the award. It was a privilege to showcase our venue to the award judges, highlighting the hard work and dedication of our team.
The award itself highlights excellence among Staffordshire businesses, particularly in quality of service, customer experience, innovation, and creativity, with a strong emphasis on benefiting the local community.
A notable 83% of our couples come from outside Staffordshire, and their wedding guests make a significant contribution to the local economy. From hiring taxis from local firms to staying in local accommodations and exploring nearby attractions, each wedding generates around £4,000 for the local economy, totalling an impressive £500,000 annually.
As one of the first venues in the UK to obtain a civil ceremony license, we’ve seen a continuous rise in bookings for 2025. This marks a significant rebound after the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the wedding industry.
Recently, we celebrated our 25th anniversary of hosting weddings with a special afternoon of entertainment for past couples, showing our commitment to taking care of those extra special touches.
Our personalised booking system and meticulously designed workflows ensure that each couple enjoys a bespoke experience tailored to their unique needs and busy schedules. Our innovative self-service helpdesk offers instant answers, particularly outside of office hours, providing exceptional customer service designed by our dedicated events team.
Additionally, we take great pride in being one of the most eco-friendly venues in the region, committed to reducing our carbon footprint. Since installing a ground source heat pump in 2022, we’ve been able to provide hot water and underfloor heating throughout the venue, supported by renewable energy generated from 265 solar panels on top of our barns.
