Heaton House Farm isn’t ALL about weddings you know. While we love nothing more than hosting amazing celebrations for all those happy couples, we’re also really proud of our Old Stableyard restaurant.
It used to be a milking parlour for our herd of cows. Then it became a small micro-brewery for the Winkle Beer Company. And over the last few years, we’ve converted it into a wonderful breakfast room, restaurant and small event space.
It’s the perfect place for a whole range of dining experiences.
Focused meetings, delicious refreshments
Firstly, if you’re looking for a unique venue for your next meeting, The Old Stableyard is unbeatable.
Cosy and charming, but kitted out with all the latest technology (including special natural lighting to help you focus), it can host up to 60 guests for small meetings and bigger gatherings.
We can set the rustic tables up any way you’d like, and we’ll make sure your meeting experience is complete with a host of delicious refreshments to suit all your requirements. This might just be fresh coffee, tea and homemade biscuits, or it could be an indulgent three-course dinner – your choice!
We’ve welcomed networking groups, society meet-ups and many business clients to The Old Stableyard and can cater to any specific requirements you may have.
Unforgettable corporate lunches or afternoon teas
Of course, if you want to skip the meeting part, we can also host you and your colleagues for an unforgettable corporate lunch. A trip out of the office for a celebratory dining experience, with sharing plates, buffet food or a full sit-down dinner service – whatever takes your fancy.
Or perhaps you’d like to bring those most-valued clients up to Heaton House Farm and treat them to a wonderful lunch? We can prepare a sensational, locally sourced and farm-inspired dish… or any other meal you’d like. So if those clients have a favourite dish, just ask!
And if you prefer the sweeter part of lunch, why not treat your colleagues, clients or a special group of friends and family to a private afternoon tea? Not only will you enjoy delicious treats, but you’ll also be dining in the most picturesque of places.
Christenings, coming of age ceremonies and special birthdays
The Old Stableyard is also a great place for small family parties, and we’re a particularly popular choice for christenings, baby showers and birthday parties.
We’ve had a few couples celebrate their wedding with us, and then join us again a few years later for the christening of their first child, an anniversary celebration or a big birthday bash!
The space inside The Old Stableyard can be easily adapted to suit any occasion, and we can cater party-style buffet food or full table service.
A wedding of small, cosy proportions

Lastly, we also host a few very-limited evening dining events throughout the year, for special occasions like Valentine’s Day.
