Rolling around and raising money

We don’t just hold weddings at Heaton House Farm you know?
In fact, our Event’s team are regularly tasked with a whole host of different themed parties, special occasions and unique celebrations.
We regularly hold some incredible events for charity too, and our Roller Disco in October was one of those.

Transforming the Steeles Barn into a roller rink

Rolling around and raising money

We partnered with Rollers Club to turn our Steeles Barn – the place where our couples usually enjoying their wedding breakfast – into an incredible pop-up roller rink.
It can hold up to 600 guests for a gala dinner or big wedding celebration, so there was plenty of space to roll around. Once we got the skates on of course! They were helpfully provided by Rollers Club too.

We opened up the whole Steeles Barn – so the space was truly impressive. The rink was as large as anyone needed, and perfect for everyone to practice their skills.

Fun filled games, and amazing donations

Skaters young and old joined us for a fantastic evening of music, spinning wheels and laughter all around. Along with roller skating, we also played a host of games on the rink too – who remembers Bulldog?
We had over 150 people join us, and each had a great time. Each was so generous too in helping us to raise money for charity.

We successfully raised £247.20 for the British Heart Foundation and £247.20 for the Link Magazine, a local magazine in our area.

Our Heaton House Events team and Rollers Club did an incredibly good job, and everyone should be really proud.

Would you like to hold an event with us? As well as supporting a wide range of charity events, we can also create any bespoke corporate event to suit your requirements. We’d love to hear from you!
